Being a celebrity – such a famous film star or sports personality – brings problems as well as benefits. Do you think that being a celebrity rings more benefits or more problems?
Sample answer: 1
It is glamorous to be a celebrity however it comes with immense difficulties and responsibilities. Common people believe that there are plenty of benefits being a celebrity, on the other hand celebrities think otherwise. In my opinion there are almost equal merits and demerits being a famous person.
To begin with, fame and money are highly interconnected with each other. Fame attracts money and money attracts fame, therefore all film stars and sport personalities are rich. Being a famous person it is easier to influence the people because of huge fan base. Brands approach such personalities to advertise their product which is a huge asset for a famous person. Every celebrity apart from their main profession, do some brand promotions and advertisements. Such huge amount of craze for them among the fans, bring them a lot of money.
Additionally, the feelings of being admired and loved by so many people are merely possible for a celebrity. People idolize them follow them and dream a life like them. Celebrities are living a life which is a dream of every normal person. The love and influence also give them a great power. Such feeling is priceless and it is one of the major benefits being a public figure.
On the other hand, such a glamorous life comes with great responsibilities and sacrifice of privacy. Celebrities are being followed everywhere by media and fans because of which their private life is badly disturbed. Furthermore, the responsibility to be perfect is great mental pressure as the immense love can anytime converts into note if something wrong happens. These two reasons had a negative impact on the mental health of famous people which leads to anxiety, stress and depression, since many celebrities are not happy in their real life.
After talking all the views in consideration I conclude that being a celebrity have both advantages and disadvantaged. The amounts of benefits come with equal numbers of issues.
