At the present time, the population of some countries includes a relatively large number of young adults, compared with the number of older people.
Do the advantages of this situation outweigh the disadvantages?
In the present, many government demand for a youth population rather than senior citizens. Youth is considered as the major human resource for significant development of nation. The merits of youth population overshadow the demerits, as they are very minimal when compared to advantages.
To begin with, youth provide a quality labour for any type of work. Youth being physically fit, give the most productive work force to the state and other indigenous companies. For example good infrastructures is one of the best ways to development and no other than youth assist the government to create better infrastructure in the least time. The young adults are the ones with best mind and healthy body among the whole population so the work force with such myriad number of young people is really beneficial for the development.
An educated youth is the best human resource for a country’s economy. A good quality of human resource attracts foreign investments which add to the economy in an explicit manner. Multinational companies set up their headquarters and manufacturing industries where the state can offer killed young people with the least wages. Such kind of availability is only possible if the country hold a huge population of youth.
On the other hand, elder people rather than contribution to development, they are liability for the nation. Elder people have very less physical strength and their mental strength have also diminished with the age, tough they bring experience; they are not as useful as the youth for the progress. Elder people slow down the process of growth. The dependency of elderly people on the youth even affects the productivity and benefits of the young people.
There is copious number of advantages of the population full of young people. A country with a quality young population can provide great dominance over other countries with higher average age.
